  1. Before starting and running a pub or bar first of all you will need to call your local Alcohol and tobacco commission, or the Alcohol Beverage commission. Find out license, permits and the entire necessary thing that you will need. Ask about the state you live in rather then asking for a specific area.

  2. Location is the most important factor in running a successful pub. When you think about location there are several things that should be considered. You need to ask yourself such questions such as: can I afford this area I want to be in? Is there a liquor license available? What is my competition? Are you going to buy or lease a building? What is my competition? Am I going to buy existing bar? After knowing your competition asks your self these questions: What kind of entertainment is offered by them? What is bringing people in? Avoid running your business near by police station.

  3. After determine step two ready to move on next step. You need to aware if you are going to buy on contract. There are few things that need to consider when you are going to buy on contract. There are lots of chances of fraud.

  4. It is pretty easy for you after gone through the red tape and having a place. First of all utilities services should be turned on. If you need equipment then it is the right time to get it. Before you buy any thing, go to auctions.

  5. You must have a liquor license, before starting a pub or bar business. Find out where to get liquor from. It is strictly against the law in some areas, to buy liquor stores and take into your bar.

  6. This step is the fun part of a pub or bar. You need lots of entertainments in the weekend. If you are looking for good entertainment then internet would be good tool for this. Have a variety of entertainment in your bar or pub. You can include D.j’s, poker-runs, Texas hold em, and pool tournaments as an entertainment way in your pub or bar.

  7. Another great form of entertainment is gambling. When you are inquiring about your license ask about gambling. What license is required and what gambling is legal.
