There is a good deal of uses for a leaf blower. A leaf blower is extremely handy throughout the entire year. They are great for spring clean up, they can be used all summer to clean up grass clippings and to clear the driveway and porch, and a leaf blower can be used in the fall for cleanup of leaves and other debris and finally they can be used in the winter to blow snow off of cars and porches and other problem areas. Leaf blower models are very versatile and are well worth the money spent on your purchase.

Many consumers have more than one leaf blower. They want to have the right leaf blower for the job they have to do. Some may choose an electric blower for the smaller jobs because they are light weight and have plenty of power to meet most homeowners' needs. The electric leaf blower can come with a battery pack or can come with a 150 foot extension cord that can easily reach all the areas of in your yard or workshop that you may need your attention. These corded electric leaf blower models also have the option to vacuum and mulch leaves. There is a wide range of these electric leaf blower machines available so you may want to pick the model that will work for the type of leaves and debris you will be cleaning up.

Consumers may also own a handheld gas leaf blower for their bigger jobs that are out of range of an extension cord and that may take longer than the life of a battery on the non-corded leaf blower. These are generally used for a large lawn and it is recommended to have a 24cc to 30cc engine on your leaf blower for this type of area. Protective ear covers are recommended for these blowers as the noise may damage your ears at such a close range. Gas blowers also can have the option for vacuums and to mulch leaves. Another option in this area is for a propane-powered leaf blower. These do a similar job, and are friendly to the environment, but are more expensive.

In your tool shed you may also have a gas backpack blower that is easier to use when you have a lot of work to be done. It helps distribute the weight of the blower so that your arms don't fall off from holding it for two hours. Homeowners who have a heavily wooded property, that is a half-acre or more in size are encouraged to use a gas backpack leaf blower for their yard maintenance and clean up. If you only have enough room in your shed and money in your pocket for one leaf blower you many have to narrow down your choices. More than likely, you will have to go with the leaf blower that meets the most of your needs. Unfortunately, this may be the more expensive model, but it will pay for itself in time saved on clean up and yard maintenance.
