As autumn commences, the weather starts to cool and the grass begins to grow more slowly, many people breathe a sigh of relief, recognizing that the most labor intensive days of lawn maintenance are coming to an end. Unfortunately, the yard work hasn't concluded quite yet. Beautifully colored autumn leaves fall to the ground and transform from a visual delight to an eyesore. Raking leaves can take hours in large yards and can put a lot of strain on your back. One way to make the chore of cleaning up leaves a little less arduous and much less time consuming is to buy a leaf blower.
A leaf blower makes lawn maintenance much simpler and its purpose is to blow leaves into a pile for easy removal during the fall months. It can even be a great asset during summer months if you have the variety of lawn mower that doesn't collect grass clippings as you go. You may want to use a leaf blower to help gather excess clippings after mowing the lawn. It can also be used to blow debris away from entrance stairs, decks, and porches. A leaf blower aids in shortening the length of jobs that were previously very time consuming and can make these enterprises enjoyable. It is actually fairly amusing to watch leaves and grass clippings fly everywhere with a mere sweep of the machine.
There are three principle power sources that a leaf blower may have. The gas powered leaf blower is generally the most powerful. It is especially useful for large areas because one tank of gas will keep it going for quite a while and it is cordless and allows for easy roaming. The electric leaf blower is much quieter and more environmentally friendly. This type of leaf blower is best for smaller areas because its range of use is controlled by the location of the electrical outlet and length of the power cord. There is also another type of cordless leaf blower which is battery powered. This type of leaf blower is somewhat less powerful than the other two but it is generally lighter and more portable.
There are also a variety of different styles or classifications of leaf blower. The first and most common is the hand held leaf blower. This leaf blower is a top choice among homeowners because it is smaller than the other two styles and is more conveniently stored. It also has sufficient intensity for the average lawn. Another style is the back pack leaf blower. This variety is most commonly used by professionals who work in large areas or maintain multiple lawns and is generally gas powered. The third style is the wheeled or walk-behind leaf blower. This leaf blower is recommended for professional use or for people who have back problems and find it problematic to carry one of the other types. Its power is superlative and the machine has been made very maneuverable.
Another feature that you may find in a leaf blower is the vacuum capability. This can also make lawn maintenance easier because it allows you remove debris and trash without having to bend down to pick it up. Of the many types of leaf blower, you are certain to find one that fits your needs.
