The new Goalrilla GS III basketball hoop is a great addition to Goalrilla’s series of innovative in ground basketball hoops. Goalrilla has been producing great basketball hoops for years now. They’ve supplied the NBA as well in basketball hoops. The rim of this basketball hoop is powder coated with nylon net which makes it resistant to elements that would corrode it and break it down.
The biggest element being sunlight. The rim itself at the top of the hoop is a breakaway medium flex rim which gives it that NBA look and feel. The arms of this basketball hoop are wide span board arms that give the backboard more rigidity and consistency for rebounds. The arms are mitered and welded extended which eliminates weak areas in arms versus bent arms, the arms have a three foot overhang which allows for increased playing under the basketball hoop’s backboard, and the arms are coated in dacromet which is another powder that makes it resistant to corrosives and will protect the arms from breaking down over time.
The frame of the Goalrilla GS III provides maximum rim support, rebound and safety because of the full perimeter all steel frame it has. It has a radius edge aluminum outer frame that provides bonus safety because it protects players from the glass edges of the backboard and it also gives it that whole NBA regulation look.
The height of the basketball hoop is adjusted using an all steel actuator. The actuator provides precise height adjustment, and it allows the player to easily adjust the height of the basketball hoop from 7.5 feet to 10 feet for players of any age. The backboard is 54" x 38" and has 3/8" tempered glass which allows rebounds to be very bouncy and consistent. The steel pole that makes up the Goalrilla GS III is a one piece 5" x 5" which makes it more rigid, less shaky and stronger.
The pole has 4 welded gussets that minimize flexing at its base, it creates durable attachment at the anchor and the gussets help maximum stability while its bolted into the ground. The Goalrilla GS III has a anchor bolt system that allows the player to level the hoop easily, and it also lets the player move the hoop to a new location easily. The pole is also coated in protective powder that makes it resistant to sunlight and corrosives that could affect while its in the ground.
