Fertility enhancers are not just about food. Those are not only things such as vitamins, minerals, herbs, remedies or medicinal prescriptions, but could also include the elements of a lifestyle. A Healthy lifestyle includes healthy balanced diet, sufficient exercising, stress management and getting rid of bad habits like smoking, drinking alcohol and drug abuse.
There are several things which are considered as fertility enhancers that you should never ignore when trying to increase fertility. They include a set of factors that work collectively to generate the required fertility to get pregnant.
Diet and weight control
Major degenerative diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart diseases and stroke are the result of a prolonged wrong eating habit. And some other conditions like overweight, insomnia and general pain are known to be caused by uncontrolled eating and the intake of unhealthy foods.
Keeping a healthy diet is a key factor for the prevention of the above said diseases and condition. Overweight is strongly related to fertility. Either overweight or underweight can affect the formation of female hormone or estrogen. Estrogen is the hormone that regulates the ovulation in women. Thus, it is very important to control your weight by the means of adequate exercising and following a healthy diet plan.
Fertility foods
A healthy diet to boost fertility generally includes whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Some other suggested food stuff to boost fertility are oily fish, full fat dairy, garlic, lean red meat, honey, spinach, chilies and avocado.
It is the fact today that selecting fertility boosting food becomes an art which should be backed up by strong motivation and consistency. You can be easily trapped in situations where healthy foods can not be guaranteed.
What you can do is improving your knowledge about the kind of food that will boost your fertility and which you should be avoiding.
Herbs
Herbs are the wonderful gifts of nature that has, and still now, played a vital role in the caring of health and longevity of mankind and civilization. Traditional healers from ancient time have proven to take benefits of the safest and most effective herbs and plants to cure diseases and maintain health.
Among those fertility boosting herbs are chasteberry, red raspberry leaves, false unicorn, evening primrose oil and red clover. Although known as safety herbs with minimum side effects, the use of those herbs should be taken with caution since herbs and some other supplements are not strictly controlled by the FDA (US). And there is also a possibility that the herbs might be conflicting with your current medication if any.
Fertility boosting medications
There are some medications that can stimulate the ovulation process in a woman. These medicines resemble the function of natural hormones that may be insufficient in ovulation disorders and eventually can boost fertility.
But using this kind of fertility medicines will increase the risk of having multiples. The injection in particular, can increase the risk of bearing multiples to around 20%.
The common used medicines to boost fertility are products that contain clomiphene citrate, anastrozole or letrozole. Gonadotropin hormones such as luteinic homone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and human chorionic gonadotropins (hCG) are also used to increase fertility. Those medications should be taken with caution and under your doctor’s supervision
