Given such a heightened importance of judiciary system, law has emerged as a hotshot career option for the young generation and an LLB degree is a must for the aspiring lawyers to step into this prestigious profession.
Law is a subject that has undergone massive changes – retaining its importance - over the last few years. With rising importance and events of merging, acquisitions and joint ventures, the law degree holders are absorbed in increasing numbers by the corporate firms. With the continuous growth of the multinational companies, job opportunities are being created in the field of intellectual and property rights. In this age of globalization, every product ranging from home appliance to medicine, technical gadget, software, music, film needs to be patented. Copyright is important especially for software, films and medicines due to the higher risk of theft in these fields. The LLB students can specialize in the field of intellectual and property rights from either a top-tier regular institute or via distance learning course.
However, for some law graduates, money-spinning is not the most important motto in their life. These LLB graduates are more interested in protecting the human rights that are often violated in every corner of the world. A very few, however, wish to join judiciary. Practicing as a lawyer earns the law graduates both money and fame, but being a judge is the highest honor one can achieve in this field. Whatever route an LLB graduate chooses, he/she must have some basic qualities – profound knowledge in the subject, unshakable integrity, unfathomable courage and incisive wit – to succeed in this noble profession.
