Sliding gates are ideal for any domestic or commercial property. There are a huge range of sliding fence gates to choose from and include both manual sliding fences and electric sliding fences. These types of access are very useful as they can save on space as they slide backwards and forwards rather than swing inwards and outwards. Not only this, sliding gates can help keep intruders and unwanted animals off your premises whilst allowing welcomed guest's access.
Manual sliding gates are operated by an individual who simply exits the vehicle, unlatches the gate and slides it open to gain access. They can then drive the vehicle on to the premises before getting out sliding the gate shut. These types of manual gates are commonly used on domestic properties where the gate is used occasionally for vehicle access to and from the property.
Electric sliding fence gates use electronic locking systems that unlock when specific codes are entered into a keypad or electronic fobs are used. When the user pulls up to the electric sliding fence gate in their vehicle there is no need to get out. They either use the fob or keypad to trigger the sliding gate to open. They can then drive through the entrance and the sliding gate once they have passed through it will shut. Electronic gates are particularly useful for entrances that have frequent use as the traffic can keep flowing in and out. Electronic sliding gates also provide high levels of security as you have to be unique access to enter. Many businesses and domestic properties use sliding fence gates.
With electronic gates there are many features which can be added to the system to enhance the security levels. This includes getting cameras installed, voice recognition and fingerprint recognition. However, the exact features which can be installed to open the gate can vary depending on the make and model of the sliding fence gate.
Due to the nature of the gate moving backwards and forwards it is essential that the maintenance of the gate is up kept. If the gate is running along a track all debris and objects nearby or on the track needs to be removed to prevent it jamming and getting lodged.
Whether it is a manual or electronic sliding fence you require for your home or business premises then you need to decide what you expect from the gate and the budget you have available.
