Graphic design is everywhere, from a tin of beans to the Queens Coat of Arms. Wherever your turn you can’t get away from Graphic design. Some people could argue that we are so bombarded with logos, posters and other media, that they can’t possible have an effect.
Well – those people would be wrong.
If design is done really cleverly, then we are powerless not to be affected by it. Great design gets under our skin without us even realising it.
Think about all those famous logos which come into our heads on hearing mention of a product. Think of Coca Cola, Google, McDonalds. It’s impossible not to visualise their logos when you hear the names.
Creating a really great logo can give your business its own identity. A clever design will stay in people’s heads and help them to start associating your products or services with your logo.
Once you have your logo there are lots of other graphic design element s that can help grow your business. For example, you could benefit from a leaflet, brochure or catalogue.
You need to make sure that any written materials you produce are perfectly executed and tie in well with your logo.
As well as design and elements such as font, you need to think carefully about colour. People tend to view businesses as more serious if they stick to a darker colour scheme in bluer tones.
If your business is more fun, such as events management or children’s party entertaining, then brighter colours in the red spectrum will go down better with potential customers.
Much of business development revolves around networking. If you want to increase your business growth then you will have to bite the bullet and attend suitable conferences, fairs and events.
If you want to create a professional impression then you can’t do without posters, displays and business cards.
Many business owners are now investing in digital display systems which add an extra special element to displays at exhibitions and events.
They can be cost effective and are more convenient and easier to install and store than conventional materials.
