This job requires excellent communication skills and the ability to make customers feel beautiful. It is necessary to be able to stand all day and be available to work variable hours. Specialty manicure and pedicure boutiques are springing up on every corner. A skilled beautician who loves doing nail care should have no problem securing a position making customer's fingers and toes beautiful. Along with great customer service skills, a nail tech needs to be familiar with the products currently on the market and current techniques.
