In today’s date and age when life has become so hectic, you do not want to catch up with every new movie. Everyone has become selective, and he or she would like to view only movies that are of interest to him or her. Some movie buffs are keen on watching only comedy, some like drama; some prefer action whereas others like to see horror and so on. Moreover, movie tickets have become so expensive that it is not worth watching a film that you will not be able to understand. Hence, movie reviews are extremely important so that you only watch movies that you will enjoy.

Reviews on movies are a sneak peek into what the film is based on. Such reviews are normally from customers who post them on the Internet, in newspapers or shown on television. Such reviews will not leak out the suspense and thrill part of the film. Mostly film critics give out the reviews that help the moviegoers to decide on whether they should watch the film in the theater or home. However, even moviegoers write about their experience on watching the film.

It is important that new movies get good reviews. If this does not happen, no one would be interested in watching the film. If the person reviewing a particular new movie writes only negative remarks, this could have drastic effect on the success of the film. This is because many people read the reviews first before they decide on whether to go for the film or not. Spending two-three hours in a theatre is also investing so much of time and money that is so rare in today’s hectic lifestyle. Here are the advantages of reviews on films:

1.Basic information of new releases hides in these reviews. Therefore, if you are a fan of the director or the stars you could go to see the film.

2.Promoters generate public interest in their film through such reviews.

3.It saves you from watching films that are nothing but a waste of time. You would rather spend that time doing something more worthwhile.

4.Every movie ticket costs a lot these days and I am sure you do not want to spend your hard earned money on a film not worthy of it.

5.The ratings given in the reviews help you to decide whether you wish to go for the film.

Newspaper reviews: Normally reviews in a newspaper on new releases are in the form of a short passage. A gist of the movie must come out in a way that it does not give away exact details of the film, so that people do not lose interest after reading. Such reviews come from the critics as well as movie buffs. It does not cost to read these reviews at all and in fact, it is beneficial as you could just give worthless movies a miss.

Internet reviews: With people turning more and more net savvy these days internet is a very good platform to catch up with movie reviews. Accurate data about the film is vital and you can decide if you want to catch up with the new movies in a theatre, on your laptop or by renting a DVD.

Television reviews: This is the most popular source to know about the reviews of latest flicks. Every week there are shows broadcast on television especially to speak about the latest movie releases.
