We’ve talked again and again about the importance of writing a good job post when looking for part-time help and interns. Your job description is your chance to get candidates excited about your opportunity while communicating the needs at your company. But sometimes it can feel that it is easier said then done. Sell your company and the opportunity:

Company XYZ is a national marketplace that connects growing companies with people looking for part-time jobs and internships. We are a high growth Internet start-up run by two women founders. Launched in NYC in February 2009, Company XYZ is now in 12 major cities throughout the country. Company XYZ was named One of America’s Most Promising Startups by BusinessWeek and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Crains, Tech Crunch, Mashable, Fox Business news, Reuters, Inc., Entrepreneur and US News and World Report.

Describe the responsibilities:

We are looking for a social media marketing intern to help us across a number of social media channels including, but not limited to, our Twitter and Facebook accounts. Responsibilities include active monitoring and participation of all accounts.

Describe the qualifications:

Candidates must be a college student with social media, public relations or marketing experience. Prior work experience preferred. Can-do attitude required. Naysayers need not apply!

Hours and Salary:

10-15 hours a week, date and time flexible. This is a paid position. $17/hour.

Who does the intern report to?

Intern will report to Founders of Company XYZ.
