Erectile dysfunction is a condition in men that strikes where it hurts the most. And so although the treatment for ED is very easy, this condition still causes a significant amount of emotional upheaval during its process. But the fact is, that this condition is so common, it's practically a rite of passage for almost every man. Every man will experience it at some point, but if the problem lingers, emotions will run high. Frustration, embarrassment, anxiety, depression, guilt, many emotions will be experienced by a man when he is dealing with this problem. And it's hard to decide which area to target first. Here we will look at the various emotional sides of erectile dysfunction, and how effective treatment can turn that rollercoaster into one smooth ride.
In order for an erection to work in a man, a lot of factors come into play. The penis is a cylinder of tissue that works as a sponge, soaking up the blood flow that creates the erection, and squeezing that spongy tissue to release it when intercourse is over. In erectile dysfunction, this blood flow is impaired or blocked in some way, and this could be caused by a wide number of factors. It could be hormonal, cardiovascular, and it could even be emotional factors like stress hormones blocking this flow. In some cases, stress hormones caused by the anxiety surrounding ED compound underlying conditions to make ED even worse than it already is. Targeting the physical problem of ED is a great way to fix the root of the problem, but you also have to target the emotional layers of this condition as well if you don't want it to return.
Embarrassment plays a significant role in erectile dysfunction, and is a key reason why men put off treatment. It's important to realize that your ED could be a symptom of another more serious problem, so delaying treatment for your erectile dysfunction could make things worse for you down the road. In addition, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, because more than 10% beyond the age 40, and 40% beyond the age 50 have dealt with this at one point or another. The older you get the higher that number goes, so this is just a fact of life, and is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Depression and erectile dysfunction have been linked in a wide body of research as well. Though the real connection between depression and erectile dysfunction remains somewhat of a mystery to science even still, the connection is unmistakable. In some cases, men that are suffering from depression will also experience erectile dysfunction. In other cases, the erectile dysfunction is what causes the man to be depressed. In either case however, there is enough evidence to suggest that emotionally induced hormones related to depression play a key role in erectile dysfunction. Many men do not realize how easy ED is to treat today, and this emotional suffering is just not necessary. This emotional roller coaster is largely caused by some hormonal and chemical balances you are dealing with, and your doctor can help you with that, and very quickly as well.
Erectile dysfunction medication is more readily available today than it ever has been making ED an extremely easy condition to treat. Medication like Levitra is getting rid of the emotional roller coaster that someone has to get on when they have ED. For many men, this emotional roller coaster is embarrassing enough, that seeking help seems impossible. Sometimes you just have to ask for a little bit of help, like millions of men before you. Talk to your doctor about Levitra, just doing so will put a smile on your face.
