Noah is a famous person in the history. According to the bible, God decided to flood the whole earth because he was remorse with the sinful actions of people. At that time, people are sinful and don't want to do things that are right before God. Instead of choosing to do the right things, they do evil things such as commit adultery, murder, jealousy, prostitution, idolatry and etc. God hated everything that the people do so he decided to kill all of them. He wanted the world to end. However, he saw one man that is righteous. This man is called Noah. Noah has three sons, who each have their fiancés.
Because of Noah's righteousness, God decided to not to kill him. He also decided to spare his sons and wife. One day, God told Noah to build a large boat. As he was planning to flood the world, he wanted Noah to build a large boat that will float on the water. Noah was a skilled carpenter. He followed God's instruction to build an ark. The ark was made from cypress woods. There are many rooms in the boat. The rooms are used to store animals that will be entering the ark along with Noah and his family. The ark is coated with tar inside and out. Noah made the ark 300 cubits in length and 30 cubits in height. After many years, Noah successfully finished building the ark. God commanded Noah to keep two of every kind of living thing in the ark. Therefore, Noah kept two of every animal, birds and all creatures that have life in them.
Noah was 600 years old when God start raining on the earth to flood it. As soon as the day arrives, God told Noah to bring his family and animals to the ark. The animals that are supposed to enter the ark came by themselves. Two of each kind of animals came and entered into the ark. Once everyone went into the ark, the door was shut. The people who are living in the city were not aware that there will be a large flood. They still continue about their daily routines. The rain did not stop until forty days. After forty days, the earth is flooded with so much water that everyone died. No one survived the flood except Noah and his family. When it was time for Noah and his family to come out from the ark, the flood started to recede. Noah sent a dove outside of the ark. The dove flew back with an olive leaf in its beak because it couldn't find any dry place to land. After seven days, Noah sent the dove out again. The dove did not come back because it found dry land. God made a rainbow covenant with Noah after he came out from the ark. The rainbow is a sign that God will never end the world with flood in the future.
