Vacations in San Diego have become very popular due to there being so much to see and do. This fascinating coastal town is situated in Southern California, and is the ideal place to visit throughout the whole year.
With a fantastic climate all year round visitors love to spend time in San Diego exploring everything this great city has to offer. Whether you want the incredible beaches, romantic spots, or vibrant nightlife San Diego has it all.
The beaches in San Diego are far more than places to spend an afternoon they are a way of life, and people spend vacations in San Diego simply for the sea and sand on offer. This amazing city has some of the best beaches in the country, and everyone offers something unique to the travelers who experience them.
The best time of the year to enjoy the beach is from July to September. The waters are warmer and calmer. As with any beach you can do as much, or as little as you want.
There are great places to stay in San Diego; if you are on a budget you may stay at The Best Western Blue Sea Lodge at the foot of Pacific Beach Drive. If you can get the rooms 105 or 107, you will have the privilege to be right on the beach.
There are lots of restaurants within a two minute walk. You are 20 feet off of the sand. If the weather gets screwy this hotel has a nice pool with a glass wall that lets you swim in the pool while watching the waves.
If you have a small budget you can enjoy the view, and incredible crystal clear waters. With more money to spend you can indulge in one of the many water sports on offer.
There is also the Paradise Point hotel. You may also rent bikes and not a far ride to all the beaches. And it is less expensive then the Best Western Blue Sea lodge.
If you desire to experience a romantic night on the Beach with the moonlight and your romantic partner, be aware the beaches are patrolled.
Dining in San Diego is an experience that should not be missed, and there are plenty of different options for you to enjoy. With hundreds of different cuisine options to choose from when enjoying vacations in San Diego the choice of where to eat can be a challenge.
You have Seafood, Continental, Italian, American, Steakhouses, California food; you can go downtown or in a La Jolla as well as in Old town where there are plenty of choices to your taste buds desire
You will be able to find a restaurant to suit every different taste, and budget no matter what you are looking for. Seafood is a huge influence in San Diego, and there are a huge number of different seafood restaurants to choose from. For seafood, the best names are Blue Point downtown, 333 Pacific in North County and Truluck’s in La Jolla
Whether you are looking for quick and easy food on a budget, or fine dining experiences San Diego can cater for your needs. You'll find different budgets restaurant list on the many major travel sites on the web. It should be fairly easy to find what suits your budget needs and experience desires.
Vacations in San Diego are often focused around the nightlife, and you will be amazed at the quality of venues available. With the large amount of choice on offer you will be able to experience a different venue every night of the week.
The nightlife in San Diego is vibrant, exciting, and attracts people from all over the world. As the sun goes down the nightclubs and evening venues come to life offering a huge array of different musical tastes.
Pacific Beach is a spot where there is younger crowd for nightlife. And if you like surfer people that is the place to go. The Gaslmap is another spot where it's a little bit trendier. There's also the Belo, On Broadway, Whiskey Girl, Altitude where you can enjoy a great view and The Bitter End.
Romance is often top of the agenda when you are having vacations in San Diego as there are many great romantic spots. You will be able to watch the sun go down from one of the many stunning beaches, like at La Jolla, Mission beach, Ocean beach, Coronado (easy to get from the airport), etc … or have a romantic meal in a restaurant overlooking the sea.
You can enjoy the magical atmosphere at El Prado drive. There are water fountains and the Spanish colonial architecture. For a spectacular ocean view, I suggest you go to George's outdoor terrace on Prospect Street.
Experience one of the sunset Gondola cruises that allow you, and your partner to sit back and enjoy the view. Whilst listening to authentic Italian music and sipping Champagne you will be whisked away to romantic places.
No matter why you have chosen vacations in San Diego there is something for everyone to enjoy. The whole family will find that there are so many different attractions, and landmarks to explore. Although some of these can be quite expensive there are also some great money saving ideas that can ensure that you have the perfect vacation.
