Having a Dog is better than having a Boyfriend

Sounds like a bitter statement from a single lady right? But actually, this statement is true for a number of women out there who’d rather spend their time and effort on dogs knowing that these pets can love them unconditionally and remain loyal to them through time.
Seems like today, a dog is not just man’s best friend, but like a diamond, this four-pawed friend has also become an addition to a woman’s list of best friends. Here are three reasons why having a dog is better than having a boyfriend.
A dog is always by your side. If there’s someone who can really stay with you 24 hours a day, 7 times a week, it’s your most loved doggy. Whether in good times or in bad times, this pet will stand by you. It may not be able to talk to give you comforting words but its mere presence is already enough for you to feel that you are not alone. As compared to a boyfriend, most of the time, he’s out with his friends and busy working out in the gym or doing his sports. There are also times that you can’t reach him on the phone when you need him. Better be thankful that your pooch is just there and would love to give you company anytime of the day.
A dog never fails to make you smile and brighten your day. It really does not take much effort for dogs to put a smile on your face. When he comes to you, looks at you with those cute eyes, and licks you in the hand, you feel this tender tickle that does not only make your lips smile, but also puts a grin in your heart. Not like with your boyfriend, sometimes, you even have to ask him to cheer you up. Most guys also do not enjoy taking much effort in surprising girls or doing even little things to make them happy. Be glad you have a dog that can do all those things effortlessly and effectively.
A dog loves you unconditionally. Dogs don’t really ask too much in return for their obedience and loyalty. A simple stroke in their head and a little of your time is already enough for them. Not like in relationships where boyfriends have expectations, a dog does not expect you to do this or do that. But as a responsible pet owner, you must make sure that you give the pet proper care and make him feel loved.
In exchange for all these wonderful things that dogs do to us, the least we can do is to look after them through petsafe ways. Do you feel the same way about dogs? Start making your list now on why having a dog is better than having a boyfriend.
