Either size comes in two categories: on-road, designed for paved areas, and off-road, designed for any other terrain you can think of.

Gas powered RC cars are designed for more experienced hobbyists who want to add an extra element of realism, challenge, and excitement to the sport. To fully enjoy these larger scale cars, you will need plenty of straight driving space so they can reach full speed before you start curving.

Gas powered RC’s are on the expensive side, so be prepared to spend a nice chunk of change when you go to purchase one. Also, they tend to have a lot more road noise than electric cars, so if you are using them with a group of people you may get the sensation of being at NASCAR due to all the engine noise. They also emit very strong fumes, so be sure to only use them in well-ventilated areas. Even though one of the benefits of these cars is that they usually last longer than electric ones, there have been cases of difficulty with maintenance as far as troubleshooting why these cars sometimes have difficulty starting.

It allows you the same thrill as video game racing games, but that thrill is doubled because you are actually racing a real car, not just using a controller to control an on-screen car. Plus, as previously mentioned, you have no worries about the police because you are not breaking any laws. How can you tell if your car is the best one on the track? Do not only look at its winning streak, but also how fast it can go from 0 to 60 mph; the good ones can usually do it in 3-6 seconds.
