Most ladies like putting on high heel footwear for a a sense of eager to be attractive and stunning before everyone else that other individuals can not understand.

Women crave to be beautiful. They would pursue anything at any price to be beautiful. It is not something they can explain why. It is a mystery and continues to be one even up to this day. One of these mysteries is the trend of high heel shoes women love.

Beginnings

Primarily, only those in the upper class wore the shoe-wear. It marked as the status symbol of those families part in the monarch. This meant that even the men who were the lords and dukes then, wore the foot garment. It gave rise to the name of the "well-heeled".

But probably the formal invention of them is attributed to a small woman. She was a bride who wanted to steal some height on her wedding day. She was Catherine d'Medici who at the age of 14 married the Duke of Orleans. She wore a two-inched shoe.

Modern-Day

Society and culture of today have set up certain standards. These standards dictate that the stylish footwear has become a staple in the world. It has proven its worth with the test of time. With modern innovation, the elevated foot garment is no longer limited to a few styles and color. Rather they are as varied as the demands for occasions to wear them increase. However in contrast to the past, norms forces only women to wear them.

Uses

The use of these heeled garments for the feet have come a long way. Yes, they continue to steal height for vertically challenged women. But a variety of reasons have come up since then.

Women wear them to elongate their legs more. The way the the feet are positioned downward makes their calves more emphasized. They give the impression that the woman has longer legs.

Self-assurance is one of the most comforting benefit of the these somehow pain-givers. Psychologically it gives them the necessary boost they think they need. As a result, women sway gracefully as they handle everyday life activities.

Downsides

As mentioned earlier, they are painful for women. They might be referred to as double-edged swords. They give beauty to the women but at the same time pain to their toes. This often results to bunions. And there is that added body weight all pushed down to front part of the feet. Prolonged standing increases the pain.

Doctors are not so keen on them as well. Science says that they are bad for the body yet women still insist. They can cause several complications in the back and in the knees.

Methods to Cope

There are certain measures that women can use to help ease the pain. Do not use high heel shoes whenever out to walk for errands or going somewhere. Wear them only when in the place already. During shopping, select only the ones that allow enough comfort for the feet to breathe and move a little. It is wise not to always choose stiletto kind. More importantly, buy comfy shoes with soft inner soles or get silicone pads.
