Spanish Speaking Employees in the U.S.
There are millions of legal immigrant workers in the United States and there has been a rising curve in the numbers of citizens from Mexico coming to the United States in search of a better life. Many companies have come to the conclusion that it is in their best interest to tap into this work force. To help these workers integrate into the organization, these companies often hire people who are capable of acting as translators and interpreters. However, many companies find it more cost effective to use outside translation agencies for their language needs.
It's not uncommon to see entire crews within an American factory made up of men and women who speak very little outside of their native Spanish tongue. Thus it is important for many American businesses located within the U.S. to have employee handbooks, training manuals and videos, policies and procedures, legal documents, and much more translated into Spanish.
Multinationals & Spanish Translation
Many U.S. organizations and businesses operate in various Spanish speaking countries throughout Latin America and have a great need for Spanish translation services to help with their cross-language communication requirements. Outsourced interpreters and translators, as well as Spanish speaking employees are needed for interviews, training, meetings, marketing, governmental relations, negotiations, and so-forth. Without them - either in house or outsourced, there can be a severe breakdown in the chain of command, productivity, relations with the local population, etc.
These corporations need the data that flows up and down the chain of command to be in the language of the intended audience: the American upper management or the local employees and middle management. Of course it goes without saying that these multinational businesses will also need plenty of translation work when interacting with the local government, consumers, and businesses.
Small Immigrant Friendly Businesses Still Need Spanish Translation
International business isn't the sole domain of corporate suits and global brands. There are plenty of small businesses owned and operated by US citizens and residents who interact with Spanish language businesses, customers and employees. While smaller businesses don't rely as heavily on communication (at least not as intensely as major corporations) they still have a need for Spanish business translation services when doing cross-border business deals or hiring Spanish speaking workers.
Border Factories on the U.S. Side
There are a variety of businesses and factories that operate right on the border of Mexico and the United States. Each day Mexican workers travel into the U.S. to do jobs offered by these American companies and then cross the border at the end of their shifts to return home. These U.S. based companies operate primarily on the English language but a workforce of Spanish speaking employees will require the translation of many English documents into Spanish and vice-versa in order for operations to run smoothly.
In these types of organizations it can be highly beneficial (and it's a very common uses of Spanish translation services) to have documents, training materials, legal information, handbooks, memo's and other information translated for every member of the workforce.
The need for Spanish language services - either in-house or outsourced - will only continue to grow as individuals and families continue to relocate to the U.S. and businesses set up operations abroad.
