Have you ever wondered what it would be like to lose excess weight by dancing? Zumba Dancing is a fantastic way to lose weight whilst having fun. Zumba is a dance fitness program based on Latin music and Cuban dance. It has spread around the planet to become one of the biggest dance and fitness regimes to date. Boys and Girls love the combination of fun and exercise that means they no longer have to struggle on the treadmill or exercise bike.

Whilst it's super in the gym and town hall, Zumba dance has also become very popular at home in the form of Zumba exercise DVD's. This is because many of us lead busy lives and often don't have the time to go to the local dance center. Whilst fitness DVD's are good, things have improved with the introduction of computer games that you can exercise and interact with to help you shed pounds. This is unusual and something that you don't see with old fashioned keep fit DVDs because the game uses sensors to actually monitor how you are performing, guide you and instruct you. Zumba games are now available on the most popular games consoles including the Nintendo Wii, Xbox and the pS3. This makes them available to nearly everyone.

Zumba video games are great if you are uncomfortable with working out with other people, but still require the guidance and support of an instructor. The video games come with a virtual teacher that interacts with you, teaches you the steps, and helps you keep fit without the embarrassment that you might get starting your first class. Once you have learnt the moves with a video game you can either progress further by yourself or consider joining a class. This gives you a head start on all the other beginners.

The Zumba video games progress through lots of levels with lots of different backdrops. Starting with basic levels and then moving on to harder, more advanced levels. This makes the game fun to play and helps you work your way up and build confidence gradually.

Like the classes and the Exercise DVDs, the computer games are extremely effective because of the fast and slow training that they involve. Zumba levels alternate between dancing to slow and quick rythems. This gives every muscle a great session and gives a flexible workout instead of a rigid routine.

So if you are looking to keep fit in the house, and don't have time for the gym, Zumba video games are worth a try!
