A very important factor in weight management is that whatever fitness regime you adopt, just follow that regularly. Although, the weight management tips are effective and should be followed with a proper discipline. But remember, not all the weight loss methods should be adopted as they can cause some negative impacts also. Following listed are a few weight loss methods that should not be followed.
1.Do not restrict the intake of fluids – If your fluid consumption is not very good. Then , although, you may weigh less, but you will overheat quicker. Your body muscles will work less efficiently. This will lead to fatigue.
2.Excessive Sweating – Though, sweating is a good alternative to lose weight, but excessive sweating is not good. As you will lose up to 2 - 3 liters of sweat that will cause a negative effect on your skills, endurance and concentration.
3.Not Replacing Lost Fluids – It can happen in any training session where the athlete do not focus on fluid consumption. Try to weigh your body weight before and after the training session.
4.Do not use Diuretics - Diuretics are drugs that help in losing excess body fluids. They are specially designed for people with excess body fluid production. Such people need drugs to lose their excess fluids which are not good for the body. But in case of normal individuals, these drugs would cause a negative impact.
5.Strict Diets and Fasting – If you restrict yourself to a strict diet or do fasting, then it would decrease your carbohydrates store. Thereby, making you crabby, tired and train poorly. In that case, your body loses excess carbohydrates and your body starts using the muscles energy store, thereby making you weak and tired.
6.Say no to Low Carb Diets – Low carb diets do not provide optimum energy to the body needed to complete higher intensity exercise in the first place. Your glycogen gets exhausted in just 24 hours and you then lose aerobic performance and body weight.
7.No laxatives-- Laxatives stimulate the movement of food through the intestines. Thus, less calories are absorbed. This may cause a decrease in the quantity of potassium in the body leading to heart beat irregularities and possible death.
Apart from the above listed unsafe methods of weight loss. The athletes also choose other weight loss programmes that are sometimes not safe. In general, the safest way to lose weight is to a keep a constant update on what ever you eat, just exercise in the right amounts so that you tend to lose 500 calories on a daily basis.
