The Battle for the title of the Beast from the East commences.

May 16, 2011 By BallB4All

The battle for the title of the ‘Beast from the East’ commenced yesterday, the 16th of May. This was a good day, if you are a Chicago Bulls fan that is. I presume it was a horror-filled day for all the Miami Heat fans out there, especially the Dwayne Wade lovers. Gibson had something special for him last night, and he gave it to him good. Video of Gibson dunking on Dwayne Wade. Dunking it hard on one of the most reputable NBA players known for his viscous dunks on his fellow NBA counterparts like the ones on Varejao and Perkins, but the list goes on. Well I guess he got a piece of his own medicine last night.

Back to game 1 of the Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls series, our MVP Derrick Rose finished up with 28 points, 6 assists and 1 rebound for the night, on a 10-22 field goal percentage shooting. Luol Deng also came up big last night putting in 21 points, 2 assists and 7 rebounds on a 7-15 field goal percentage. Our man with the play of the night, Ty Gibson came off the bench and finished with 9 points, 2 assists, 2 blocked shots and 7 rebounds.

On Miami’s side, the Big 3 did their thing also, but not up to par. Well except for Chris Bosh, he went in hard last night. Our ex NBA MVP LeBron James had a pretty sloppy night with 15 points, 3 blocked shots, 6 rebounds and 6 assists last night in a losing effort against the Chicago Bulls. Dwayne Wade had a sloppy night also finishing up with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals on 7-17 field goal shooting. Chris Bosh finished up with 30 points, 9 rebounds on 12-18 field goal shooting.

And there you have it people, Derrick Rose and his Bulls team came in harder than the Miami Heat troop and they got the ‘W’. But there’s still more battles to be won in order to be officially crowned the ‘Beast from the East’. I’ll keep you guys posted, but in the mean time leave some comments on who you guys think will come out as the Eastern Conference Champs. Stay safe and keep reading.
