Jamaica, an island of exotic beauty, colorful locales and vibrant cultures will tempt you to surrender to its magical reality. It hardly requires any effort to blend in with the beautiful surroundings and get into a holiday mood at this exotic destination. Jamaica is full of interesting sights and attractions and in order to get the most out of your trip, sketching out an itinerary of all the important places is a good idea.
The capital Kingston is a great place to enjoy the cultural flavors of this enigmatic island. This cultural and commercial hub offers quite a few interesting sight seeing options such as the Devon House Heritage Site. More than 120 years old, it still hosts events at regular intervals. Alternately, you can explore the sights of a coffee plantation that dates back two centuries along the south coast city of Mandeville.
Jamaica is known for its beaches and if your idea of a holiday is lazing on the beach then you won’t be short of options. The 7-miles long Negril Beach is quite a popular attraction with both the tourists and the locals. Here you can show off your gorgeous tan or indulge in a host of water sport activities including swimming, diving and snorkeling. The open-air restaurants and bars are perfect to mingle with the local crowd and enjoy local delicacies.
Another great beach resort is Montego Bay that is home to a number of lovely beaches, restaurants, bars and clubs. While exploring the gorgeous beaches, don’t miss out on the popular Doctor’s Cave Beach site where you can enjoy bathing amid beautiful natural surroundings. If you possess the penchant for diving, go up to Montego Bay Marine Park that boasts a number of interesting diving sites including the famous Windowmaker’s Cave.
For those who like adventure and thrill, a visit to Dunn’s River Falls is a must. This awe-inspiring 600ft waterfall trickles through the stony steps to finally merge into the vast blue expanse of the Caribbean. To experience a bit of thrill and adventure, you can climb up the slippery steps with the help of the local guide and enjoy the cool cascades.
For cultural escapes, there couldn’t be a better place than the famous Ocho Rios Resort, which is home to the Bob Marley’s museum and the Golden Eye, the estate on which Ian Fleming wrote the famous James Bond novels.
There is much to see and do at Jamaica and the best way to make the most of this beautiful island is by staying in the beautiful Jamaican villas. These independent homes give you the freedom and privacy to enjoy and plan your holiday just the way you want it. Beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, these vacation villas
are the perfect alternate to an impersonal hotel stay. Make your holiday to Jamaica all the more special by staying in Silver Sands, a unique community of private villas and cottages, clustered around the magnificent white sand beach. All Silver Sands vacation rentals are staffed with cook and housekeeper, all you have to do is sit back, put your feet up and relax.
