Video blogging is fast becoming one of the hottest ways of showcasing

and promoting any online business. Viewers who are used to reading print advertising now see video as something new, fun and interesting. They're viewed more like a live presentation and are more likely to get the viewers off the fence from an undecided to a buying customer.

Todays marketers are putting their efforts into video marketing and are getting better results. Studies show that video marketing produces better results than print or even television.

Video blogging carries the action to the web site sharing the videos on a blog. Just canvass the web and start noticing all the video you see on what used to be static sites. Blogs are catching on and transforming their text into video blogging.

Videos allow you to show a more personal side of yourself and your business that just isn't possible with print or any other media. You've heard "a picture is worth a thousand words." Adding music and some graphics can spice them up even more making them fun and exciting. When your viewers get to know you, in a sense, and provided they like you, they will be more likely to return or buy what you're selling.

Videos also have the potential to go "viral". Video hosting sites like Youtube allow viewers to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms. Social channels open the doors for others to help with your marketing by recommending the video to their friends and spreading the

word.

Someone sees something really interesting on YouTube, sends it to a couple of their friends on Facebook and Twitter, and the friends pass it along as well. Before you know it all the friends cause a snowball effect. A week or so later the video has a hundred thousand views.

Some videos tend to go viral quickly, especially those that are very funny or that have some shocking element.

The simplest way to get your videos onto your website and start a blog, is to upload your video to a video sharing website and embed the video onto your page. This is simple to do and only takes a couple minutes. Hosting on a video sharing platform saves your bandwidth since you are not hosting on your own servers.

Choosing YouTube as your hosting platform can also drive traffic to your blog. A video can be also be optimized to climb the search engines and then be linked to your site.
