Currently, setting up your own blog is pretty simple because of the various blogging platforms that you can select. But, if you want to really impress your readership and build a strong relationship with them, then you have to get it right from the start. As a new blogger, the following are just some things that you should not forget.
Give Your Readers Assistance: The first and foremost thing that you need to keep in mind is that your blog is not just a commercial tool where you earn revenue. Instead, your blog gives you the ideal way to generate a bond with readers as you offer them viable solutions to help them deal with their problems. Even though you will still be focusing on finding traffic and posting great content, you must still find ways to get some viable solutions out in front of your readers to help them find what they need. For instance, you might have found a brilliant piece of software that really can make a difference to the way you run your business, so tell your readers this, as it might be able to help them too. Work on providing this kind of helpful information to your readers whenever possible so they develop a sense of trust in you and your advice.
Sharing Readership: Now, do compare this to a real traffic exchange program. Instead, this means going to various blogs and posting comments. Once the blog owner sees your comments, he might comment on your blog. So this creates a sort of traffic exchange, where you both give value to each other's blogs through informative comments. The traffic that you generate through this method is usually very targeted and high quality. The fact that your readers are familiar with your blog will make it easier to change them into subscribers. Just make sure that you do not spam blogs just to get comments. Plus your blog will get both direct traffic and backlinks, which will help it to get a better rank with the search engines. So, all in all, you win from all sides.
Ask for a Response: In order to make things better for your blog and make sure that your visitors have what they want from your blog, always ask to get feedback. A lot of new bloggers are misinformed and think that they should ask for feedback until their blog has aged a little. But, this isn't true. As a matter of fact, ask that your visitors leave comments at the end of all posts. You can do this by asking your visitors to give you an opinion about something in one of your posts. This way, your readers will get the value out of your post and at the same time be happy to give their opinion. Besides, everybody wants to feel appreciated. Each blogger that found success began at the bottom and moved on to become successful. So start creating a blog that will be useful for your readers.
