Schools Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is by Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore, MOE conducts a centralized test around Sep./Oct. annually for new international students who wish to join the mainstream public primary and secondary schools in January of the following year.International students who do not have a place in a local school and who wish to seek admission into Primary 2-5 and Secondary 1-3 are eligible to take part, but they have to pass the AEIS examinations for admission into government school. AEIS, by Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore, examination is conducted only once a year.
English is the medium of instruction in the test, thus student applicant are strongly encouraged to prepare themselves in advance of the Schools Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) tests. Student applicants should be well versed with the English and Maths syllabi of the level preceding the one they are applying for. An applicant who applies for Secondary 3 should have enough knowledge with Secondary 2 content. An applicant who wishes to seek admission to Primary 3 and is assigned the P2/P3 test should be familiar with Primary 1 and Primary 2 content. An applicant who wishes to seek admission to Primary 2 and is assigned the P2/P3 test should be familiar with Primary 1 content.

International students who passed in the Schools Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) Tests are advice to prepare themselves in advance for a new school environment where English is the main language of classroom instruction, and should familiarize themselves with the relevant curriculum for their level.
Preparatory course is offered for foreign students seeking admission to government schools. It prepares students to take the Schools Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS), which involves a centralized test on English and Mathematics. In addition (where necessary), students are also prepared for the Qualifying test (QT) and Principle Academic Certified Test (PACT) should they miss the AEIS test. The key subjects taught are Mathematics, Science and English. The contents taught are based on the syllabus as outlined by the Singapore Ministry of Education.
Students who fail the AEIS examination may choose to take the Qualifying Test (QT) the following year between January to June. The QT is conducted once a month by the MOE.
