Secret Society Magazine is a new luxury lifestyle and fashion publication that serves as a go-to shopping guide for men and women. The premier website debuted in March of 2011, but will nationally be launched on June 27, 2011.

Editor-in-chief, Ebonie Caldwell, has been a fixture in the Chicago fashion scene and is now bringing her expertise and passion nationwide. She shares her journey in this exclusive interview about her vision, the story behind Secret Society Magazine and Secret Society Magazine new online Radio Show, "Secret Society Talk".

How is Secret Society Magazine different from the other magazines already in circulation and online?

Since 2011, Secret Society Magazine has served as the premier luxury lifestyle and shopping resource for multicultural men and women. What distinguishes Secret Society Magazine from others is that we have successfully honed in on the lifestyle and shopping needs of today’s contemporary men and women of all lifestyles. This group shares a penchant for what’s hot, new, now and next. Indie Designers "Secret Designers" is the main event inside each issue of Secret Society Magazine. I like to think of Secret Society Magazine as the shopping guide for both men and women who are continuously seeking new and high-end underground designer and artist. In every issue we dig deeper to introduce the most exciting emerging designers, the best shopping spots, spa's deals of the week, chartering a yacht, buying a luxury home and deals, the best in beauty and hair care, the best in travel worldwide, and, of course, events. Our content will always target savvy. You can count on the next issue to have even more thought-provoking articles and inspiring fashion photography.

What is the story behind Secret Society Magazine? How did it come to life?

My background is marketing and advertising, while helping other companies to grow and make a positive name for themselves. I had the concept for a few years, but the drive came after continuously watching my successful efforts in helping other companies grow and brand themselves effectively. My idea for Secret Society Magazine was born. The name come from a conversation I had with my child hood best friend. I mentioned to her a situation in my personal life, on how I felt that my daughter's father family did not except me. I told her no matter how perfect I try to be they would never except me unless I was appointed in that family by one of the family members within that circle. At that moment she said, it appears to be they are part of a secret society and no one can ever be excepted by that family unless they was a member. We were always chatting it up, sharing lifestyle information with each other. I got to thinking how cool it would be to name my magazine Secret Society and take share this information in a magazine format so other men and women could benefit from the insight too. It mattered to me where beauty, fashion and travel advice came from. I was always interested in stylish multicultural individuals and what they used, and how they held it down.

What is your vision for Secret Society Magazine as the editor-in-chief?

It’s my goal to continually understand, meet the needs and evolve with the Secret Society Audience by sharing the art of living in a provoking, compelling, sophisticated way on multi-platforms such as print, on line and satellite radio.
