A fountain is a creative form of lending a focal point to a garden. Water fountains are supplied in in a plethora of sizes, shapes and different styles to add variety to the yard. Water features can be made use of indoors or outdoors and are sold in a wide range of prices.
The variety of water fountains is vast. They are manufactured in many materials such as glass and stainless steel giving a very modern appeal. However, traditional fountains can be designed from bamboo, terracotta or stone. Polyresin fountains are particularly flexible. They lend the look of aged stone but are actually much lighter and also frost and UV resistant. This makes them suitable for use all year round despite the weather conditions.
Tabletop water features make a great centerpiece in the workplace or study. The calming sounds of flowing water promotes a relaxing environment. Desktop fountains are usually decorative and little enough for the desktop. As an added bonus some tabletop water features make use of humidifiers helping to create the recommended air humidity level of 45% to 55%.
Outdoor fountains are usually available in greater scope than desktop water features. They work well in yards, patios and other available spaces. Outdoor fountains can be bigger than 10ft or as small as 8 inches meaning they are great for any garden.
A popular use for water features is in ponds. Water is recirculated by a submerged pump allowing for the constant stream of water. However, water fountains can also be used on a solid surface given you use a reservoir. A reservoir is a self-contained storage unit designed for holding water. The reservoir can either be placed in soil or housed in a suitable base supporting the fountain on solid ground.
Similarly, the scope on offer means that finding a suitable water fountain should be easy. It is a question of choosing the form of water fountain desired and choosing the size and style from the many options.
Water features can be driven by a variety of pumps but a popular style is the solar water pump. Instead of powering the water fountain from a mains power supply, a solar water pump allows the use of solar energy. This environmentally friendly option is in great demand.
1000 Fountains is a leading supplier of indoor and outdoor fountains throughout North America.
