She said Google gets its mapping facts and numbers from several causes and that it is notoriously tough to hold a international chart absolutely up-to-date.
"It's inescapable that there will be occasional mistakes in that facts and numbers, but when we find these mistakes, we work to revise them as rapidly as possible," she said.
Nicaragua has inquired Google to hold the boundary line at its present position, as asserted by the Wall Street Journal's blog Tech Europe.
In a declaration to that blog, the Nicaraguan Embassy in London said: "The Government of Nicaragua has formally demanded to Google not to accept the appeal of Costa Rica to change the boundary demarcation offered on Google Map service, which identifies [the argued locality of] Harbour Head as Nicaraguan territory. The route offered by Google corresponds to the diverse treaties that characterise the Nicaragua-Costa Rica border."

Even apparently conspicuous boundary lines -- for example those conceived by streams -- can be perplexing counting on the clarity of the satellite pictures utilised to conceive the charts, she said.
"Rivers are not often directly lines -- they rotate and turn so the boundary rotates and turns," she said. "But if you don't have high sufficient tenacity boundary facts and numbers, you're not going to apprehend all those rotates and turns."
Furthermore, distinct versions of Google Map display distinct borders.
Google Map China and Google Map India display distinct versions of the boundary between those two nations because nationwide regulations need Google's charts to gaze a certain way when examined from each position, Hurowitz said.
The U.S. type of Google Map displays both boundaries between China and India since the boundary is in argument, she said.
