The risks of serving your country by joining the army and defending it against enemies are that you can sustain serious injuries or even die. In such cases, the injured soldier or his family members are entitled to compensation and transitional aid from the military authorities. This is basically to cover any losses they or their family incurred for operation or any other treatment used to rehabilitate him.

When a military cadet dies while in combat, the government states a transitional aid or a war compensation ( in german Abfindung ) that is to be given to the deceased soldier’s family members. However, there are times when these statements are not fulfilled. The family members are then deprived of any compensation that is owed to them as a way of honouring the soldier’s memory and service to his country.

In such instances, military lawyers are extremely helpful. These lawyers however are extremely expensive to hire and many families cannot afford them. They are the best option to claim the benefits promised by the government as they are experienced in these matters. Not only is their experience important, it is also their know-how on how to go about it in a proper legal manner and their ability to get the process done faster.

When a country is in war, the affected people are given shelter and monetary help as well. This period is known as the transitional period. The concerned government makes efforts to provide permanent housing for the people whose homes are destroyed during the war.

The transitional aid ( in german Übergangsbeihilfe) for temporary shelters could be made more sustainable by making sure that the materials used can be used again for permanent homes. Materials used for the construction of the shelters should be of the reusable type. This can be very useful for upgrading the transitional shelters later on. This also helps in preserving the environment.

It is extremely important to construct the shelters and housing units in areas that are free of natural disasters. Such disasters are unpredictable, thus proper care and overseeing needs to be done while constructing them.

A very important point to remember is that most of these shelters are only completed in areas that have been affected in a major way. However, areas that are considered mildly affected are neglected. It is heart-breaking to see how people are trying to survive with the compensation the government gives them.
