Many companies believe that creating a myspace, facebook, and twitter page is all they have to do when marketing their website, business, or product. What many companies fail to realize is these social networks provide no actual search engine optimization. 9 times out of 10 even when a user "likes" something on a social network, they don't in fact visit the website, or much less read what the page is about. Then within seconds the subject is forgotten about, so while you just spent money to have them visit your page, it provided you with no return. As we look into the past it becomes more obvious businesses on every scale are wasting away their marketing budget on useless promotions.

Look at all the money thrown into myspace over the last 5 years, while it might provide a temporary band aid for your internet marketing campaign, in the long term, you're getting absolutely no return. Now the same thing is happening on facebook. Companies dump their marketing budget into these social networks, building friends, when in a couple years it will mean absolutely nothing. No one uses myspace anymore, and facebook is on its way out too. Once again, providing your business with little return from this kind of marketing. Why fall under this trend, be a leader in your industry and find new ways of marketing your business, ways that actually provide RESULTS!
