PONO Evolutionary Focus Model ©
I believe we are here to evolve and organizations exist to assist in that evolution. Every interaction I have has the potential to assist in my evolution and the evolution I’m working on with clients. Often I evolve by contrasting circumstances or variety! I expect something to go one way and it doesn’t. Something is happening to call me to my growth – especially if it comes with grit and irritation!!
Contrast exists between me and the person or event. It gets my attention in some way. Say I’m irritated by the person and that gets my attention as we interact a couple of times. That person actually harasses me into growth!! I can so easily tell a story of the person or event – they are jerks, unintelligent and focus or give my attention to the noise of the irritation.
OR
I can choose to feed the voice and perspective of growth – get curious about what this is calling me to – hold that as my strategic inquiry. Remember energy flows where attention goes – where is your attention? If we are here to evolve, every incident has the potential for evolutionary growth.
You can control the direction of your thought. Therefore, you can control the way you feel. And when you do that for just a little while so that you consistently allow yourself on the verge of, or into the space of potential -- now you're in there where the cooperative components are. Now the manifestations can begin to show up in your experience.
