There are three types of colored contact lenses based on purpose. At night, the pupil was enlarged and became smaller during the day.

Some kind of colored contact lenses need to be taken out during night time, and need to be cleaned prior to inserting at daytime. Some models don't need to be removed and cleaned up to 30 days. These are called Night and Day Colored Contact lenses. They permit more oxygen to get into the lens eyes that make them safe up to 30 days of uninterrupted use.
