If you plant to visit Costa Rica, you will find a lot of vacation spots to enjoy as you spend time there. If you are searching for wonderful resorts to explore, here are a few places you can consider going to.
Gulf of Papagayo
This is a gulf in Costa Rica’s North Pacific region where you will find 12 gorgeous beaches. The place is filled with beautiful resorts along the coast. You will be able to see how the forest becomes a beach and some of the native animals playing around.
I have explored this area and learned that it has many places worth visiting. First there are the beaches, for me the best ones are:
Playa Hermosa
Playa del Coco
Playa Ocotal
There are also some great national parks around like:
Palo Verde National Park
Santa Rosa National Park
Rincon de la Vieja National Park
Barra Honda National Park
I bet travelers looking for some relaxation and nature lovers will love this place.
All of those beautiful places you can visit in the area offer some different activities for every taste:
Parasailing
Canoeing and Sea Kayaking
Sailboat Tours
Snorkeling
Scuba Diving
Sport Fishing
Surfing
Canopy tours
•ATV tours
•Bird & Wildlife Watching
•Hiking
•Horseback Riding
•Mountain Biking
•Jet Skis
•River Tours
Matapalo Beach
We had the great opportunity to visit my friends who live in Puerto Jimenez.
•It is a cute town on the Osa Peninsula.
•It's full of expats.
•A fairly big town with a population reaching well into the thousand.
During the trip, our friends took us another one hour south to visit a teeny coastline village for a relaxing BBQ in a deserted beach. The road was so bad, that were told that during the rainy season the residents, which is about 90% foreigners have to stock up for 3 months, or fly into Puerto Jimenez due to floods.
When we finally arrived we saw that there is not actual town, it's just a bunch of hidden houses and eco lodges all along the coastline they are all surrounded by virgin rain forest. There is also little foot paths allow you to experience the place way better than driving a car.
We headed to explore and we ended up hanging out at a deserted beach, with plenty of shade.
All the eco lodges offer plenty of tours to the surrounding jungle and take you on tours to Corcovado National Park, quoted by National Geographic as the most biologically intense place on Earth!
