CamCard is an Android based application, that can capture business card images with a phone-based camera, recognize the card image content, and automatically organize the recognized result as a contact and save the info into the phone address book and card holder. To automatically have the card content saved in card holder, you much check the "Save to card holder" option in the Settings. CamCard supports multiple languages, and automatically recognizes the language type of the card image content for English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
The App main screen, shows the 4 main menu options. Click on "Capture card" to start camera and enter the camera viewfinder. If the QRCode recognition option is checked in the settings, the app will automatically recognize the QRCode information on the image while previewing the image. Click on "Load Image" to invoke the gallery to select an existing card image to recognize. To input email signature select the "Signature" option. Once you start the email signature recognition feature, and input email signature, it will be recognized as contact. Click on "Card Holder" to manage your saved cards.
The settings menu, and the tutorial can be accessed at the bottom of the screen. CamCard also contains other useful features such as Password protection, Batch shooting, Double-side business card image capturing, and options to save into Android/Gmail/Exchange contacts. You can export contact as vcf or excel file in card holder. The app automatically rotates the card image, and trims and enhances card image before saving into card holder. It also supports Linkedin invitation or search. CamCard is a highly useful app, and the best business card reader available.
