Everything in nature is connected, but as technology has advanced, we have become disconnected. If you feel a certain empty space in your spirit, it’s time to fill it up! Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Balsam Mountain Preserve provides campers with everything they need to have a wonderful time at the Dark Ridge Camp. This campground includes multiple tent sites and enclosed bunkhouses for when the weather is a bit too chilly. Even when you stay in the late summer, expect to sleep wonderfully while camping because the temperatures here in Sylva, never get too hot!
Campers will find all that their spirit needs at this beautiful NC Equestrian Mountain Community, including:

This private mountain golf community of NC provides guests with power through the utilization of a water wheel. The wheel generates the electricity for the campground and pavilion, but this doesn’t mean you should bring your DVD collection and laptop!
Going around the Mountain
Just when you think you can’t see sites anymore beautiful mountain views, take a short drive to the pleasant town of Sylva. Visitors will find grocery stores and restaurants in this little mountain village and they’re great when you want to get back in touch with society. Or if guests are looking for entertainment, Asheville is less than an hour away, where they will find movie theaters, music events, and more! Don’t forget to look at the NC real estate near Asheville and Waynesville on your way back down the mountain! You may just want to relocate for eternity.
