A specialised school will provide you with the basics of learning to help you use English in everyday conversation, travel, study and business.
One of the benefits of studying at an English language school is that you will improve your understanding very quickly. You will be surrounded by lots of other students who are also learning it which gives you the opportunity to converse with others also learning a new way to communicate. If you study at a school where English is spoken as a first language, you will also have plenty of opportunity to practise your skills when you go shopping, when you meet new people and when you spend some of your leisure time visiting the tourist attractions.
Studying in an environment where others are also learning gives you the chance to practise as you learn every day. You will improve your level of English and make new friends along the way. Basic language learning courses often involve studying in the mornings and enjoying free time in the afternoons. Topics covered include grammar presentation and practice, listening, speaking, vocabulary, reading and the use of computers to help with learning.
Intensive courses usually cover the same learning topics but involve full time study. They are often popular with students who want to learn to converse quickly. You can also take specialised classes covering topics such as English for Business and study courses in preparation for specific exams.
If your English language school offers one-to-one tutoring, it’s a great idea to take advantage of the chance to focus on the areas you need to improve. This can also help you prepare for exams and help you to achieve the level of English language learning that you are aiming for.
