Marketing is imperative to the growth of every business. Well thought out websites for accountants give you measureless marketing possibilities. Some of your options will be fairly priced, others may be costly or time consuming. In this report, we'll start off at the roots, even before we worry about earning first page rank on search engines. In order for search engines to grab your site, you need to practice Search Engine Optimization, but it's easy to do it wrong. You'll come across companies who offer to do the work for you, for a steep price. However, don't skip the basics. A site with top placement that isn't personable isn't going to win over any hearts. So here are some basic marketing tips to focus on that will make your website standout before you start delving into the world of Search Engine Optimization.
Content is King- Don't ever underestimate the value of quality content on your site. You'll lose the interest of your viewers rapidly if you don't provide them with anything intriguing to look at. Make sure your website has a lot of good information on it. Everything from the business' background to personal profiles for your employees. Your site should paint a clear picture of what you do for your prospective customers and clients. The more questions you can answer up-front on your website, the less likely the prospect is going to be to leave your site to look for answers on a competitor's site.
Reach out to your prospects - we all like to feel a connection with the people we hand our money to. Make a connection with your prospective clients before they ever step foot in your office or store by including a biography and local images on your site. Showing your prospects that you work in their neighborhood, assures them that you share a community and are therefore, trustworthy. Don't be afraid to include some background information on a biography page. This is just one more way in which your site visitors can understand who you are professionally, as well as personally. Having these simple personal touches on your website will really make your company stand out amongst the run-of-the-mill, stock content sites that some companies use.
There's more to site personalization than just writing about your workers. Does your company encourage employees to volunteer? Does the organization often participate in charity events as a team? These are things you would want to describe on your website to build connections with prospective clients. It may not be best to 'brag' about it on your home page, but your clients and prospective clients will love to see that you and your employees care about the community you're in. You could also list upcoming local events on a separate page on your site. This will lead viewers to believe that you socialize within your community and that you enjoy the same activities they like. Allowing your clients to go to community events that you will be attending gives them the opportunity to communicate with you on a more personal level. You could also include a corkboard page where clients can post flyers to spread the word about their upcoming event. If your corkboard page becomes popular, you may even see an increase in site traffic, beginning with that page.
Think about the folks you do business with in your daily life. Why do you like doing business with them? Are they approachable? Timely? Professional? Borrow the examples you come up with as a basis for what you want to make sure you include on your website as it relates to your company. Making a personal connection with the use of good content on your site is going to get you on the right track to stand out over your competition. Then, you can turn your interest to Search Engine Optimization.
