The Hondas of 2012 continues to show promise. Nearly every vehicle in the lineup got a significant upgrade. What we’re most excited about is the Honda Pilot. The Pilot was given a redesign for 2012, and has an upgraded sportier look. We're covering all the changes to the Pilot, and has the highlights on what’s new for 2012.
The muscle is added the Pilot's engine in 2012. Honda used a V6 250 horsepower engine into each Pilot trim. The new engine also features 253 ft/lbs of torque, so the Pilot has fantastic engine to go wherever you want even if it is just a hockey team. Even with the added power, the Pilot is able to have better interstate Miles per gallon, with the two-wheel drive model hitting 25 miles per gallon, and 18 within the city.
The improvement is accomplished by means of Variable Cylinder Management, or VCM. VCM is made around that fact that when a vehicle is cruising, the car won't need all the engine’s horsepower. So Honda made VCM to disable certain cylinders once they aren’t needed, enabling the Pilot to operate on as few as 3 cylinders. Of course, when power is needed all 6 cylinders will light up, supplying you with all possible horsepower.
While the power engine the Honda pilot supplies may make it sound like a race machine, the inside of the Pilot is cavernous and luxurious. Eight individuals can fit inside comfortably, with 16 ways to set up the seats. This means its easy to carry everything you want while using the Pilot.
And when it’s time make the passengers happy, the Pilot provides there, too. A DVD player is available, using a flip-down screen to keep those stuck in the back in high spirits. Music may also be chosen from your 15gb harddrive, simply through the use of your voice. And if 15gb is not enough, you are able to use your iPod or other USB based device for all the more music options.
Not surprisingly, a Honda will not be a Honda if it didn't have a glut of safety features. The Pilot brings the very best of security out, all around the vehicle. Advanced Compatibility Engineering is used within the vehicle's body, to ensure that if ever the vehicle is part of an collision, the passengers are protected.
Also installed are front and front side airbags, but passenger side airbags also. The side airbags cover up three rows and is able to detect when the vehicle rolls. Though, rollovers are limited by the Vehicle Stability Assist ability that will feel over or under steer. When when it's noticed, brakes can be applied to individual wheels and reduce the throttle to help you keep the Pilot where it's supposed to be, on the road.
If you're in the market for a new car, the Honda Pilot has it all and more. You won't find a car that's more versatile and able to meet your ever changing needs as a driver. Check out the 2012 Pilot at Honda of Burleson before looking at any other Honda Dealerships in Fort Worth.
