South Beach is a famous tourist magnet. With its magnificent beaches, eclectic nightlife, and colorful locale, South Beach will surely satisfy your craving for a fun-filled unforgettable vacation. Dubbed as one of the hottest places on earth, this place boasts of beautiful weather, beautiful people and beautiful places.

Spectacular Beaches

If you’re looking for a vacation at the beach, then South Beach is the place to be. You can find most of the locals and tourists hanging out at Lumnus Park and Public Beach from the 5th and 15th St. all the way up to Collins Park. Enjoy amazing ocean views while checking out the multitude of shops and restaurants within walking distance. There are a number of cabanas you can rent and a paved path for biking, rollerblading, and strolling. You may have to drive early though as the beach somewhat gets crowded especially during high season.

South Pointe Park is a great place for families with kids. The beach has a children’s playground, doggie stations, and a lot more. You can have a picnic, play ball or bring along your pawed friends for a walk (leash required).

If you’re a little adventurous, you might want to visit Haulover Beach – this is a ‘clothing optional’ beach and you will mostly encounter skinny dippers in this area. The dress code in this beach is optional so be forewarned. There is also a plenty of parking space available.

There are many beaches worth checking out in the area. All boasting wide white sand beaches and amazing views – there’s Crandon Park, Bill Baggs Park and so much more!

Art Deco

The Art Deco district is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. With its colorful buildings comes rich historical significance. These buildings include the popular Casa Casaurina (once the home of Italian Designer Gianni Versace), The Tides Hotel, Cardozo Hotel, the Front Porch Café and Restaurant – to name a few. You can do your own tour of the Art Deco district starting at the corner of 5th Street and Ocean Drive.

There are also many museums and art galleries you can visit in the area and most of the offer free admission. There’s Alexander Gore Art in Collins, Art Center, the Miami Beach Film Society, the Wolfsonian Museum and so much more! Get sensory overload and satisfy your cravings for art in the numerous museums you can find in the area.
