Basketball has been always enjoyed by a great population of people. Within decades of its invention there were professional circuits and intercollegiate conference throughout every nation of the world.
Basketball is basically a team sport that is composed of five players; the center, two forwards, and two guards. To be able to score in basketball, the player must try to shoot the ball inside the hoop. The more hoops the player get, the more chances it is to win. But shooting is not the only technique in basketball, there is also passing and dribbling as well.
Basketball is the only major sport that is of American in origin that is why many men have tried their luck on the professional level of this sport. Professional basketball is the most popular sport in the United States for many foreigners have also joined in different teams representing the different states. But lately many players have jump from team to team to be able to quench their taste of the championship and also self preservation. Professional has been the popular sport because themes played in the NBA have been broadcast all over the world. That is why it said that basketball is the most watch sport worldwide.
The two leagues have merged and that is what came about the NBA of today. Indeed that popularity of basketball has been spreading worldwide for many countries have many professional players in this area. That is why today with the influence of professional basketball to the fans as well as the public has been spreading rapidly.
Our young generation has been playing the sport in their grade school years as well as the high school and college years. Many teams represent towns, churches, service clubs, and businesses. In addition to the amateur teams there are also regular leagues and independent professional clubs.
More than 200 million persons a year pay to see basketball games and no wonder why the professional player have a high salary rate. In fact an average NBA player’s guaranteed salary is about more than a million per year. No wonder many men and women are trying to have the professional basketball as a profession.
