Silversea Cruises has released details of a new round the world cruise in 2013. The company has announced that the cruise will launch on the 5th January, 2013 and will sail for 115 days, returning on the 1st May, 2013. Aboard the 382-guest Silver Whisper cruise ship, passengers will cross the equator 4 times and travel to 52 destinations in 28 countries.
Departing from Los Angeles, the Silver Whisper cruise ship will visit French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and New Zealand before travelling round Southern Australia via Tasmania and then north to Asia. As well as seeing the amazing Asian cities of Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore the cruise takes in Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. That’s before visiting a host of Africa’s most exotic locations including Madagascar, Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia and Ghana. The Silver Whisper cruise concludes by travelling to Barbados, Dominica, and St Thomas before ending at Fort Lauderdale.
"The itinerary for our World Cruise 2013 is an experienced traveler’s dream," said Steve Tucker, Vice President of Field Sales for North America. "Guests will be able to visit some of the most exotic places on the planet, from Bali and Bora Bora to Madagascar and Tasmania, returning every evening to the comfort and all-inclusive luxury of Silver Whisper."
Whilst prices will be released in due course over the next few weeks, members of Silversea’s Venetian Society loyalty club are able to make priority booking immediately and can reserve a suite for the entire voyage before the cruise is open to the general public.
Silversea Cruises are also offering the opportunity to turn the cruise into a full circumnavigation of the globe by presenting the chance to embark on a 16-day pre-cruise Panama Canal trip starting at Fort Lauderdale on the 20th December, 2012, and arriving at Los Angeles on January 5th, 2013 in time for the main voyage.
There are also options to extend the cruise by including either a 3-day post-cruise extension from Fort Lauderdale to New York (1st May – 4th May) or to complete a transatlantic crossing ending at Southampton, via New York, on the 16th May, 2013.
Guests who book the full world cruise will receive complimentary airline flights to reach the ship or be presented with an air credit. Silversea Cruises will also offer transfers to the ship, shipboard credits, an invitation to a Bon Voyage reception, plus dinner and an overnight stay at the Peninsula Beverley Hills in Los Angeles before the voyage. A free laundry service will also be included.
