Yongnuo YN 465 Is Under $100.

If you’re interested in buying a digital flash for less than 100 dollars your options are fairly limited as there is certainly nothing you could buy new from Canon or Nikon for that budget.

But no need to worry as there is a quite a decent TTL flash for under 75 dollars with an additional "M" mode for "strobist" photography on top. That’s what you can get with the Yongnuo YN-465 flash.

The YN-465, the first TTL model from the Yongnuo ( I know the name is not particularly flashy, but who cares), is basically a TTL-enabled YN460. It is available in a Canon E-TTL (II) version or as a Nikon i-TTL model.

Both of these flashes are sold under the same name but are different technically so you need to make ensure that it’s the right version for your camera brand when buying one of them.

Yongnuo YN 465 Description

The YongNuo YN-465 is a high performance flash for most of the Canon DSLR cameras. The TTL mode of this YongNuo flash for canon automatically sets the flash light so that you get a perfect image. You can also adjust the right amount of light as per your preference with the M mode of this YongNuo flash. The Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor of this YongNuo flash for canon ensures greater efficiency and improved performance. The YongNuo YN-465 flash comes with 0-90 degree vertical rotation angle and 0-270 degree horizontal rotation angle that accurately provide light in a wider area. The 4 AA Alkaline cell of this YongNuo flash offers greater power so that you get light for a longer time. Get greater reliability with 100 - 1500 lighting times from the YongNuo YN-465 flash.

Within the Yongnuo categories you can find two more TTL flashes: the Yongnuo YN-467 for Canon or Nikon and the Yongnuo YN-468 (Canon only). The YN-465 is the entry level flash. The range now was extended by the addition of the YN-565.

Camera Compatibility

The Yongnuo YN 465 flash is designed in both Canon and Nikon versions. Some of the ausction and other sites do list these flashes under specific camera model, but in truth there are no sub version. So all the flashes designed for Canon are the same and so are the YN-speedlites for Nikon.
