As a wearer of bifocals for the last couple of years I can tell you that with regard to my everyday glasses, it's hard to find a very very good set that fit properly and work as they should. The issue with bifocals is that they've to fit properly so that you can see properly at various distances. At the same time, they've to be well constructed so that the line between the two lenses does not interfere with vision. When you beginning of see how hard it is to find really good bifocals for every day glasses, you can beginning of comprehend the trouble that I have had finding a very good pair of bifocal riding glasses?
To be clear, bifocal riding glasses aren't meant to substitute prescription eye wear. In point of fact, the main portion of the lens doesn't provide any magnification whatsoever. It is the bottom part of the lens that gives you the necessary magnification to help you see your instrument gauges, the same way reading glasses help you see text clearly. Even so, if they're made improperly or with low quality materials, bifocal riding glasses could actually hinder your vision instead of help. This isn't ideal when travelling along on your motorbike at sixty miles per hour.
Fortunately, I found a great set of bifocal riding glasses made by eyeQusa. I came across this brand before on the Online Biker Shop web site. As a brand eyeQusa is known for their top-notch products, decent pricing, and overall performance. I have to say that I don't regret purchasing my pair one bit. The only thing that's bothering me now is that I didn't acquire them from the Online Biker Shop and instead bought them from my local bike shop; I wish I hadn't done that.
The prices are much more competitive at the Online Biker Shop and they don't charge any shipping for United States Of America delivery addresses so I wouldn't have had to worry about that. Oh well, there is always next time. I am definitely going to obtain my next set of riding glasses there. I may even decide to acquire a helmet cover and some embroidered patches as well.
All motorcyclists recognize how important it is to own proper riding garments, therefore incorporating bifocal riding glasses to add to your current attire is a must. Not to mention other accessories like motorcycle helmet covers. Motorcycling always seems better somehow when you dress the part.
