Spirituality is the journey of perfection. We have to follow this path so that we can rise higher and higher, until we reach absolute fulfilment or perfection. This journey of achieving perfection is our spiritual growth. It is our spiritual growth, the tears of our heart, the call of our soul that indeed fulfils our spiritual and material lives. Our spiritual life, in fact, does not take us away from our material life, but, it instead it gives us mastery over the material world by utilising the spiritual powers we may have acquired in the process. A spiritual power primarily indicates our spiritual success and growth.

Spiritual growth is a divine inner journey for all of us. Spiritual growth is necessary for a stress-free lifestyle and for a better, prosperous, loving and harmonious family life.

Spiritual growth is the journey of purifying our thoughts, correcting our wrong beliefs, realising our real selves and the people around us. Through this journey, we become aware of our true nature, the soul that resides within us. It is also a journey of introspection, shedding inhibitions, getting rid of our negative emotions, impulses and false ego, and facing our fears.

This inward journey is effortless and spontaneous and the benefits are plenty. We develop a sense of detachment, which eventually leads to peace. We begin to lead a balanced life by not letting our minds get affected by outside circumstances. We become tolerant and much more patient than before. We learn to manage our disappointments and minimise our negative feelings and thoughts. We develop intuition. This journey gives us immense joy and happiness.

In order to grow spiritually we have to unveil the layers of ignorance. All we have to do is to remove the layers that are hiding our inner light. As we succeed in removing the layers of darkness, the radiant light starts to shine within us.

We remove these layers of ignorance or darkness by positive thinking, by regular reading of spiritual literature, by listening to spiritual music, by practicing concentration, by chanting, by meditation and yoga and other similar techniques.

To begin our journey on the road of our Spiritual Growth we must acknowledge this fact that we are a spirit with a physical body and not a physical body with a spirit. If we learn to accept this concept, it will help us change our perspective towards everything. Also, we must make an honest effort to be and think positive. If we are caught in negative thoughts, immediately we must direct our mind to positive thinking. We should always keep the door open for the positive and close it for the negative. This journey will become radiant if we try to acknowledge the brighter side of life. We must realize that will power, our inner strength, is always stronger than the circumstances we are put in. And so we should not let situations and circumstances affect our way of thinking. We must learn to pour our whole mind into the work on hand by developing the power of concentration. We should learn and begin to practice meditation.
