Cancer is still a major killer today without any cure or hope for terminal cases. It is believed that the common causes of cancer are:
• Unhealthy diet
• Lack of physical activity
• Mood
• Stress
• Heredity
• Viruses
• Repeated local inflammation
• More than 600 known carcinogens each playing a role in causing cancer
The best way of course is to try to prevent cancer from even occurring and the first thing to do is to change to a healthier lifestyle.
Most health experts commonly agree that emotions does have a profound effect on health with some even claiming that developing a sense of joie de vivre is important in maintaining an effective and strong immune system.
Here are guides on how to change your lifestyle for prevention and even recovering from the devastating cancer disease.
o Positive thinking
Time and time again, it has been proven that attitude is an important factor in the healing process. Patients who has a positive outlook usually recover more rapidly compared to those who are depresses, negative and always ridden with anxiety.
o Relaxation
Take some time out for yourself and find some enjoyable things to do such as baking or gardening. Adopting some relaxation techniques such as meditation and autosuggestion can also help greatly to bring out the best in us and in maintaining a positive state of mind.
o Brighten up your living quarters
A bright and well-ventilated apartment or house can do wonders to the mood and help in stimulating the lymphatic and immune systems.
o Exercise
Make time for exercise as regular exercise not only help protect against cancer, it is also beneficial for prevention of other ailments such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity, osteoporosis, back pain and non insulin-dependent diabetes. The ideal exercise should be a minimum of 20-30 minutes of active exercise up to 3 or more times per week.
o Stop smoking
It is common knowledge that smoking is bad for health so stop smoking if you are addicted to cigarettes.
o Saunas
Saunas are really beneficial for patients suffering from arthritis and cancer as saunas can help to eliminate a large number of toxins from our body through perspiration. If possible, take at least 2 sauna baths per week.
