Ready for some tips to jazz up your blog and prevent blogging boredom? Well you’ve come to the right place. There is probably not a business owner around who hasn’t felt bored with their blog at one time or another. Providing consistent content is hard, especially if you’ve been blogging for a while. How can you say something new and different and keep from having those not-so-fun blogging blahs? Well it isn’t easy, but it can be done.

Here are some of our favorite tips to re-energize your blog and renew passion in your postings:

Provide quotes - People are inspired by quotes and will often feel a personal connection with you when you include a quote they can relate to. Timing is everything and you never know when you might provide the perfect quote that hits home and is exactly what someone needs at just the right time. That’s why it’s a great idea to include inspirational quotes in your blog. You may also discover your quotes are not only inspiring your readers, but they’re giving you a much-needed boost as well.

Be Passionate - Blog about what inspires you. What video have you seen this week that truly made an impact on you? If you haven’t seen one, this might be a sign you need to start following some of those in your industry who have great content and make it a point to review their videos and then write about what you got out of it. What else has made you truly feel passionate about your business and clients? It’s time to write about it and get it down in your blog.

Add your unique personality - Have some fun. Let people see how much you enjoy what you do. Stay away from the dry, boilerplate postings. You know the kind. The ones that seem to run together every month because the content is old or overdone or the presentation is just plain boring. It’s okay once in a while to get a little edgy and have some fun. And people love visuals, so add those in as well.

Build your reputation - Can your blog really help build your reputation? Absolutely! That’s why you want to continually add in testimonials and also "brag" a little. Don’t go overboard, but do let others see you know your stuff. Also, have a Google alert also set up for your name and company name and then add your media mentions to your blog. When deciding which ones to add, choose the most well respected places.

Q&A - Open your blog postings up for a Q&A. Many think they always have to drive the ship and write the content, which is somewhat true. However, your audience might appreciate the opportunity to ask questions and have you answer them. So, consider having a regular Q&A column to generate even more interaction and interest.

Blog boredom happens to the best of us. The true professionals can recognize it and take action to turn their blog boredom into blog excitement. They also realize sometimes they need assistance with it and can look to an online support specialist for a little help. If you do work with an online support specialist, be sure they are experienced writers and have what it takes to make you look good.
