Since the 1970's, there have been millions of people in the United States who have undergone fertility treatments to allow them to conceive. In the mid-west, these procedures have not always been regarded as valid or respectable, but the modern medical community recognizes the development of the technology and information on the procedures has made them more successful, reliable, and safe. One of the first fertility specialists in the mid-west was the RRC fertility clinic in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City. Dr. Rod Lyles founded the Reproductive Resource Center in the 1988. This full service clinic was the first of its kind in the Kansas City metro area.
RRC fertility clinic has focused on offering full service fertility coordinated care. Dr. Lyles always looked for ways to increase the potential for pregnancy, but he also worked at minimizing the risk of multiple births. In fact, the Reproductive Resource Center has a reputation of some of the highest pregnancy rates in the entire United States. Cutting edge technologies and procedures have been available at RRC before any other fertility clinic in the area. These include ICSI, GIFT, TESE, blastocyst cryopreservation, donor oocytes, blastocyst culture, and embryo biopsy for preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
In 2009, when Dr. Lyles retired, the position of medical director was taken over by Dr. Celeste Brabec. Dr. Brabec was a physician in the practice for ten years, with a good understanding of the goals and culture at RRC fertility center before undertaking management responsibilities. She seeks to continue the tradition of innovation in the field of fertility assistance. Her personal mission is focused on couple care, and she meets face to face with couples to assist them in accomplishing their dream of adding children to their families. Like Dr. Lyles, under her direction, the Reproductive Resource Center has maintained high pregnancy rates with low multiple birth rates.
Couples in the entire Kansas City metro area consult with the doctors and staff at the RRC fertility center when wishing to conceive a child under difficult circumstances. The Reproductive Resource Center offers a variety of treatments, including consultation, oral medication, intravenous medicines, egg donation, sperm donation, in vitro fertilization and implantation, preimplantation genetic testing, and more. Both Dr. Brabec and Dr. Riggs (renowned reproductive surgeon) are award-winning, published physicians in the field of reproductive assistance. With the emergence of more fertility practices in the region, RRC has maintained a very high level of client care and medical success.
