Polish (polski) is a West Slavic language spoken by a total of approximately 40 million people, and it is the second most widely spoken Slavic language in the world, next to Russian. Due to great migrations of Polish people to neighbouring countries such as in some parts of Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, the Polish language is commonly used as a second language.
