There seems to be a misconception between natural and organic face wash. Most people believe they are one and the same. They are not. Natural refers to any material that grows naturally without using chemicals like insecticides or pesticides. However, it is very easy for companies to say that their products are natural. After all, natural products are not exactly being regulated by any government agency, unlike organic products. Natural is the term always being used for marketing a product that was grown without using any chemicals. Most people don't know that buying natural cosmetic products does not always equate to a healthy and glowing skin.
Choosing organic products over natural products
The reason why many people choose organic products (if you don't know already) is because these products are "certified" natural by the US Department of Agriculture. The term natural is being loosely used by certain government agencies when marketing their cosmetic products. However, when it comes to organic face wash, a company needs to seek the approval from the USDA in order to label their products organic.
Organic products refer to the process used for manufacturing that particular item. When a product is organic, this means that it underwent a rigorous process of planting, growing and processing. These techniques should be at par with the various regulations being imposed by the USDA. Unless the department is satisfied with the efforts of the company to organically grow the materials that will be used in the production of a certain cosmetic product, then they would not definitely let that product reach supermarket aisles.
This is also the reason why organic face wash is more expensive than ordinary ones. Before a product can be labeled as organic, it passes through a multitude of tests that should prove it as highly sensitive to the skin. If a product fails, its manufacturer cannot bring it out to the market. That is why it is important for you to be aware of the consequences.
If you have highly sensitive skin, and reacts easily against various skin irritants, then you should definitely look into being a loyal user of organic cosmetic products. Although natural cosmetic items are cheaper and actually quite effective too, you surely would not want to risk your skin if there is something better out there. That better item will always be an organic product.
So if you think that buying expensive cosmetics is not something you should get used to, then take a look at this. Organic products are definitely in the market today. You only have to discern which exact ingredients in the product you don't like and then, consult your doctors first. If you think an ingredient will affect you in a bad way, then you should immediately stop the products and ask a dermatologist for help.
