With the high profile case recently of someone having a double mastectomy which is the surgical removal of both breasts as a preventative measure against breast cancer, is this the most effective way our medical system can offer, to stop cancer? Despite the cost and the pain of the operation is it really the only option to help someone avoid a diagnosis of cancer.
If you have a history of breast cancer within the family or you have been diagnosed with the faulty BRCA1 gene it is like having a sword hanging over you because you are in a state of constant fear of getting breast cancer. What your doctor is telling you is that you have no control over whether it will appear or not and the only way to reduce your risk of dying from breast cancer is to have your breasts surgically removed even though you don’t have any cancer.
What your doctor is not telling you is that there are better options that don’t harm the patient and that a faulty gene is not necessary a death sentence. A woman diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene can easily keep the gene suppressed through proper food and lifestyle choices. Everybody has control over their body and how they live so all you need is information on ways to maintain your health. It is bizarre to mutilate your body when there are simple ways to avoid not only breast cancer but any cancer.
Plenty of men get testicle cancer but I’ve never heard of anyone asking their surgeon to remove those, even for those that have had their family. So why is it only women that have this self mutilating surgery? Is it out of fear or are they being conned.
The very idea that breast cancer is a risk if you carry the BRCA1 gene is totally false. What your doctor doesn’t know is that there are ways to manage your body so that it is impossibly for cancer to appear regardless of what genes you carry. You do that by making lifestyle choices every day which involves healthy eating which is plenty of fruit and vegetables in their natural state, getting sufficient vitamin D which is provided by the sun for free and the avoidance of many of the chemicals we use today that contribute to the problem.
Anybody can practice an anti cancer diet and lifestyle that is guaranteed to keep them free of cancer regardless of your genes. It is with a little information and with a diet of simple foods that are fresh which doesn’t cost either. A sensible diet contains plenty of vitamin C which is in citrus or kiwifruit, also foods containing resveratrol which are tomatoes or red grapes and cruciferous vegetables or food that contain omega 3 fatty acids. All these are anti cancer foods and will suppress the gene linked to breast cancer as well as help with many of other modern day health problems we now suffer from.
Doctors are also ignorant about the reasons why there is so much cancer today. Empowering women with a sense of control over their own health is the last thing the cancer industry wants to do, because that would cause them to lose customers and lose money.
Human genes have not changed for thousands of years so why would they suddenly change now and kill scores of people. Cancer micro-tumors exist in everyone so the human body must be managed to avoid the growth of tumors.
But you won’t hear doctors telling women to eat more fruit and vegetables because that doesn't make the cancer industry money.
